I founded Big Star Production Group with a deep passion for helping people and my love for music. My career started in 1985 after graduating from broadcasting school in the Northwest. I began a 10 year career as an on-air personality, which included producing commercials and voiceovers. I meet my husband literally on-air as he worked with the same broadcasting company. We moved to Southern California in 1995 where I began working with an independent record label, Thump records as a Production Manager. I supervised and coordinated the production of all label content from CD’s to promotional material as well as being directly involved in distribution and advertising campaigns.

Through my colleagues I was recognized by EMI Capitol Records where I began a wonderful career working with their special markets division as Senior Creative Services Coordinator. Coordinating over 300 releases a year I became extremely competent in all aspects of print, graphic design and managing fast paced releases. I had the opportunity to help many third party clients from Eddie Bauer to Nordstrom’s to Target stores, Ace Hardware and many more through Capitol records amazing catalogue of artists.

Big Star Production Group is a wonderful extension of all of my life’s experiences and now allows me to work on a one to one relationship with each client and I find that the most rewarding of all. BSPG has now helped major label artists as well as independent artists and record labels launch music releases on CD and vinyl, and we feel blessed for that opportunity.

Oversees operations and business relations. My career began in 1985 as a student at May School of Broadcasting in the Northwest. I began a successful 12 year career as an on air radio personality, music director, writing and producing commercials and voice over’s. My main challenge was keeping us one step ahead of the competition in a 14-station market.

I moved to Southern California were I began a career as an independent music promoter, calling on radio stations nationwide and assisting in marketing efforts, including in-store events, sales and concert promotions. Shortly thereafterI was commissioned to work with a large merchandising company as a music buyer for large chain music stores nationwide. I was signed on as a music content director for some of the first entertainment internet sites to emerge in the late 90’s. I sold websites and fulfillment solutions to companies such as Gaylord Entertainment, Niche Music, Ordermusic.com and others.

Shortly thereafter Big Star Production Group was established to help the independent musician. Along with my wife and key industry professionals we have developed an entire suite of services for our clients. Big Star Production Group is a Los Angeles based company founded in 1996 by Becky Rickett. BSP provides branded custom CD releases, CD/DVD//Vinyl manufacturing, print, custom graphics, web design, video production, conceptualizing, branding in support of entertainment industry and professional corporations.

Big Star Production Group works with major and independent record labels as well as major corporations. We provide a suite of services that enable our clients to centralize multi-media objectives working closely with our talented team to provide a unique blend of personalized services in a highly creative environment.

Big Star Production Group was honored to have Rani Gupta join our team in October 2007 as a Creative Consultant and New Business Development Director. Rani’s industry experience broadens our reach to new markets. Her consultation and creativity assists Big Star Production Group in the areas of video production, CD/DVD design and layout, conceptualization and graphic design.

Ms Guptas’ entertainment experience adds a world class touch to Big Star Productions multi media suite of services. Rani is the founder of CEO (Christian Etiquette Organization) and TAG (Together Achieving Greatness) A Christian based organizations with programs designed to educate, enrich and encourage todays’ youth to strive for excellence. Rani is also, President of Peanuts & Caviar International, working independently as a Life Coach, Style & Image Consultant, Event Planner and Personal Manager.Ms Gupta holds a degree in Fashion Merchandising and continues her studies in Communications and in Early Childhood Education.

By understanding the importance of representing oneself with poise and confidence, Rani’s experience consists of teaching and directing adults and children in theatrical performances, recitals, auditions, line studies, photo shoots and preparatory settings.

Rani provides image evaluations, coaching and etiquette instruction to some of the leading men and women in the entertainment industry.

Not only have we followed and been involved with Mary’s career over the last 20 years, we have seen her long standing passion to our professional growth and adapt to meet the latest cutting edge technologies that now shape our industry.

Mary’s unique experience comes from years of helping build ground floor independent record companies, to working with leading entertainment music icons such as Universal Music Group and international publishing companies.

With over 25 years of industry experience in the area’s of sales, marketing, production, and consumer retail, Mary’s contribution to BSPG is invaluable.
